Beautiful Geographe Bay

March is a great time to spend in Geographe Bay and we managed to easily spend a month floating between Busselton and Cape Naturaliste.

It was great to be able to anchor right next to the iconic Busselton Jetty and walk into town, taking advantage of all the amenities Busselton has to offer - particularly a fantastic foreshore with coffee, beer and food, as well as a great swimming area and coastal pathways.

Our chill time was spent anchored up with fellow catamarans SV Quiemala and SV Blue Yonder at Abbey Beach. Tucked in on the beachfront opposite ‘God’s Mile’, bushland is plentiful and only small numbers of people makes you feel like you have the place to yourself. Throw in some dolphins, clear water and sunshine and it feels like heaven.

Quindalup was our catch up point for our down south family and friends and it was a very sociable time with coffees, walks, twilight sailing, dinners and surfing at Yallingup. Great to be able to spend time with a range of friends - some of whom we haven’t caught up with for many years.

Looking forward to spending some more time reconnecting with friends in this beautiful part of WA next summer!
